Our Story

The roots of Wettle Canvas Products date back to 1941, when Charles Wettle Sr. began the business in the garage of his north Toledo home. At that time, residential awnings and Venetian blinds were the mainstay of the business. In 1965, Charles E. Wettle Jr. took over the company, and expanded the business to include more commercial work. With both residential and commercial sales growing, he played a very diverse role in the company. 

In 2002, Brent and Heather Wettle acquired and incorporated the company. Brent, Chuck’s son, grew up performing a variety of skills including welding, fabrication, installation and sales. He strongly believes that personal attention to every customer is vital to the company, and stays heavily involved in almost every project. With three generations of excellence, Wettle Corp. is still driven by the same values Charles Sr. believed in when he began the company.
